The problem with war is that when the last shot is fired and the smoke clears the world is forever changed. It will never be the same as it was before the actions that lead to war. The countries involved are forever changed and the people are changed.
One of the strategies we employ in defense of the Second Amendment at The Liberty First Foundation is to expose the lawlessness and hypocrisy of elected “Oath-Breakers” who want to restrict or eliminate our God-given right to keep and bear arms. Conversely, we will promote and focus the light of liberty and justice for all, on those brave politicians who are defenders of these same rights.
As Sheriff of Franklin County in rural western Maine, he not only serves and protects in his role in law enforcement but speaks out and advocates for the Second Amendment.
This is the Tyranny nobody wants! I hope it never happens, but if it does, life in the United States of America will be radically different in the aftermath of the repeal of the Second Amendment. And not different, in a good way!
When government does not trust its citizens it enacts legislation to curtail the citizens. Gun control is government saying they do not trust the people with guns. Why do they fear people having guns?
While it seems like we are winning the battle in the Federal Courts, we may be losing the war in the Court of Public Opinion. The mood of the country is changing and the apparatuses and resources for repeal are already in place. We must recognize the danger and redouble our efforts to win the hearts and minds of the American public. If we lose the Second Amendment, others are sure to fall.
Today, more and more people feel comfortable that their governments will take care of us, not only to ensure our safety but to protect our freedom as individuals. At the same time, however, many are saying nowadays that they would rather willingly give up their rights in the belief that a benevolent government will step in and defend them against evil.
The Liberty First Foundation and Religion of Arms fully believe that the Second Amendment is a protection of a natural right that everyone has. This right of self-protection does not see race, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, wealth, status or anything else. It doesn’t care if you are a Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Green Party, Conservative or Liberal. We all have this natural right and we all deserve to have this right protected from any that wish to deprive us of this right.
The idea that taking guns away from me will make you safer is the most intellectually dishonest argument proffered since the ratification of the Second Amendment in 1791!
