Sadly, the daily stories of Americans defending their lives and countless others by exercising this right against the evil predators among us are rarely promoted, the message doesn’t fit the analogy the media portrays
When I enter a gun store, it’s typically because I have a firearm or some gear that I am interested in. I plan to spend some dough but the euphoria of getting that certain product in my hands will be well worth it.
We spend thousands of dollars on ammunition, accessories, tactical gear, range time, and firearms. We spend countless hours refining our skills, doing our best to punch the X in the center of our targets.
And hanging in the balance of the fight for the high ground in the Supreme Court is our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for the lawful purpose of self-defense.
Let’s be honest, not many of us like stepping out of our comfort zone. I know it’s not my favorite thing. But sometimes in life, in order to get things done, that is just what you have to do. Guess it beats a sharp stick in the eye, so there is that.
A couple of weeks ago, the Liberty First Foundation was approached by Douglass Kahlstrom, the owner/operator of Tactical Measure, a holster manufacturer in Lampasas Texas. Douglas found us on Facebook and appreciated the work we are doing so much that he volunteered his time to help us with our organizational efforts when it came to opening State Chapters of our group.
The biggest argument I see people make for carrying FMJs or even party packing (HPs and FMJs) is barrier penetration… This argument spawns purely from ignorance on defensive ammunition.
