Clothing Company Levi Strauss recently jumped into an anti-gun position by financially supporting “gun violence” prevention. In the next four years, Levi Strauss is committing to donate up to a million dollars to fund anti-gun organizations, Live Free and Everytown for Gun Safety.
When I enter a gun store, it’s typically because I have a firearm or some gear that I am interested in. I plan to spend some dough but the euphoria of getting that certain product in my hands will be well worth it.
The well-established Ruger SR1911 series of handguns expanded their line by adding an SR 1911 model chambered in 10mm. Clearly, meeting the demands of a growing 10mm population of shooters who enjoy a heavy load, Ruger stepped out of the box to create a beautiful matte-finished, stainless steel model that has heads turning.
When entering a gun store, my advice is for people to keep their ego in check, mind their business, conduct themselves in a professional manner and keep all guns cased and unloaded with the breach locked open. For guns that do not lock open, a chamber flag is a nice touch.
Let’s face it, 1911’s are incredible handguns that are beautifully historic, functionally superior, and amazingly accurate shooting handguns. You guessed it, I’m a huge fan of 1911’s. There is nothing like that short single-action trigger that makes an average shooter feel like a professional.
