Extreme is the new normal
I have dug myself into some Facebook trenches on a number of occasions and exchanged fire with the enemy. And it went awesome! I didn’t even call someone a nazi. But seriously, did I change anything?
Challenging the opposition
We need to reevaluate the way we address the arguments that the anti-gun control group is using to promote their agenda to disarm the American Public. The arguments they are putting forth can easily be rebutted but you have to actually listen to them and then offer an argument that will actually produce some results instead of offering the same old rhetoric.
Talking with the “other side”
Many people say that those who are anti-gun and anti-gun rights simply can’t be reasoned with; that no discussion is possible because they reject logic and reason. Therefore the people themselves are rejected. However, would it surprise you to learn that that’s likely the exact same perception “they” have of us who firmly believe in the value and promise of the Second Amendment and firearm ownership in general?
We Have to Change
The truth of the matter is many of the people that are a part of the gun-grabber movement are scared and they want a solution. The only solution that they are hearing is from the groups that actively seek to disarm the American people. We need to be a part of these conversations and we have to present intelligent arguments that will give these scared people a sense of security, solutions that produce real results.
